David Proeber Photography
David Proeber's career spans 35 years as a writer, photographer, designer and editor.
Proeber started his career as a photographer-reporter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He later worked as a photojournalist at the Enid (Oklahoma) Morning News and Eagle and the Tulsa (Oklahoma) Tribune until it closed in 1991.
For the past 20 years, Proeber has served as photo editor at The Pantagraph, a 45,000-circulation daily newspaper located in Bloomington, Illinois.
Shooting a broad variety of assignments both in still and video, he also designs pages and other special projects for The Pantagraph and Pantagraph.com. In addition to
producing daily content, Proeber is also manager of the
Pantagraph's photo department and oversees three staffers and a number of freelance photographers.
Proeber has received national awards from the Society of Newspaper Design, National Press Photographers Association and state honors from The Associated Press and the Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Illinois newspaper associations.
His work is published internationally via the Associated Press.
